Downloaded FPS fix dgVoodoo and moved to the bootmod folder and no change in FPS from before. At best i can get 20 FPS in MH or 35ish in between loading Screens. Is this normal? I have to be doing something wrong, is there setting i need to adj. in the Voodoo file?

Try removing dgvoodoo and use the simple directx proxy available/linked in the thread here: https://www.bluegartr.com/threads/12994 ... -(For-FFXI)

The only thing you might need to configure is to change zShadowFighting (or something like that) to True in the .ini file. Otherwise? Just drop both the .dll and .ini in your ffxi-boot is foldee (or wherever your boot.exe is located).

That said, even though your system is plenty powerful enough, having to proxy all the directx junk in Win10 on a laptop is not gonna run super fast all the tine.. even my i7 quad core with a 960m can’t hold 60fps as I run into crowded city areas :( I just run it with /fps 2 all the time.

System.Exception: Failed to inject Ashita!

Error: 0
at Ashita.Classes.AshitaInjector.<>c__DisplayClass0_0.<LaunchConfiguration>b__0()

When I boot the game. I'm really no good with all this computer Tech stuff...

GFX Intel UHD Graphics 620 Res 2560x1440

IMO that is your problem. Too high a resolution for an i3/4GB with onboard video. Try lowering your resolution way down, if your framerate increases dramatically that is your problem. Also, 1440p is an unusual resolution for a laptop screen, are you sure that is correct?

Did you download the FFXI version (which is definitely not the newest) I had issues until I used the FFXI specific build Voodoo put out.

However, since Nasomi implemented the installer, I've not used voodoo and just used the glider/wrapper included which has worked well on my 6 year old I7 laptop (I do the downscaling trick of setting the background resolution to double the screen resolution as well which does make things crisper and smoother to my eyes - although there can be shimmer with the HiRes textures downloaded).

If you're still experiencing dips in FPS, turn off shadows, made a huge difference for me with voodoo.

Yeah, I thought so. So I'm assuming your laptop screen something lower, like 1366x768, 1600x900, or 1920x1080 (1080p), how does the game run at those resolutions?
