Got a new computer and I am running into some issues with FFXI freezing and my screens turning black. This only happens with FFXI when a browser window is open in another window, doesn't matter which browser. It doesn't happen instantly either, it can take 5 minutes or a couple hours and seems to happen on page reload or zoning most often. Symptoms are the game freezing for 1-2 seconds and after 20 seconds of that the screens generally turn black and the game locks up. Relaunching the game it will instantly be slow and doing the 1-2 second freezing until I reboot the computer. When in this state even other games I open will be crippled with horrible fps. This doesn't happen with any other game or application so it's a weird issue. Drivers are all up to date along w/ windows patches. Windows 10 ryzen 3600x geforce rtx 2060 super 16gb ram Running in 1080p window mode Anyone seen this issue before and know a fix? |

I'm not so sure its your new PC. I've been getting black screens and freezing quite a lot and only the last couple of days. I can't figure out why, but it never happened before and I haven't changed anything about my computer setup. Not sure that helped but just wanted to put it out there. Good luck! |
