I've come across setup issues with Xbox one controllers and FFXI recognizing the trigger buttons on the Xbox One controller with a fresh install of windows. I figured out the solution and made this write up if if helps anyone. Updated Setup for FFXI/Nasomi XI with modern Xinput gamepad setup ex. Xbox One Controller Download and Install DirectX w/ Xinput 1.3 Microsoft DirectX w/Xinput 1.3 https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downloa ... g=ru&id=35 Launch FFXI Config/NasomiXI Config utility Click on Gamepad Settings Check Enable Gamepad Check Force Feedback if desired Check XInput Click Alternate Setup E will preconfigure buttons for the XBox One controllers layout Click Test Gamepad to verify all buttons respond as expected Click OK and Yes to save settings Click OK and Yes again on main config window Enjoy Game! |

If your windows build doesn't let you use switchmon you can use some apps to disable xinput for switchmon, which forces windows to recognize directinput commands into switchmon so you can set the hot keys to swap game windows without having to hit alt+tab. |
