Post subject: | Linux support for default plugins |
Hello. As an open-source snob, I'm very happy that I can run the Nasomi client on my Ubuntu 16.04 machine. However, I have not been able to install the correct support for full Ashita, so none of the default plugins (e.g., TParty) work for me. While the plain vanilla client works well enough for me, I think I am at a disadvantage compared to others who, for instance, don't have to use TP macros or who have access to wireframe mode. Has anyone else managed to get the default plugins working with x86-64 Ubuntu 16.04 using wine for the Nasomi client? I think I'm missing the correct version of the .NET framework... Thanks. |

Are you trying to use any plug-ins that didn't come with the Ashita client? Nasomi locked his version and the plug-ins that come with it are the only ones allowed. Pretty sure non of them allow for wire-frame mode. That'd be reason for a ban. Or loss of levels. Not sure what Nas does for that honestly, but I wouldn't want to find out personally. Quote: The only permitted plugins are timestamp, tparty, distance, and recast. And the included but off by default fps. |

sabinfigaro, his issue is that ashita doesn't run as easily on WINE as FFXI does. Wireframe is against the rules entirely, anyone using it should be reported to nasomi. It is only included in the client by mistake. |

I've searched the forums, and it seems like an existing limitation. The price we pay for elitist open source. I will keep experimenting. |
