| Post subject: | Remapping a key in FFXI |
I like to have my caps lock key act as a control key, since I find that more comfortable to press than the actual control key. I have used a program (Sharpkeys) for years to make this happen. The issue I have is FFXI doesn't seem to follow this key remapping. Every other game I have played has worked fine. I have also tried using autohotkey to remap it: #ifWinActive Einzbern { capslock::lctrl } but that doesn't seem to work either, but that may be because "Einzbern" is not the actual window name (if I alt tab, it says the window name is Einzbern). I have also tried setting it to "#ifWinActive boot.exe" since that seems to be FFXI in the task manager, but again that doesn't seem to work either. Anyone have a suggestion as to what I could do to get FFXI to recognize my capslock key as ctrl? |
