I am trying to get FFXI up and running on my mac (mojave os). I have spent several days and am very close but when the play online viewer comes up it is completely a black screen but the music is playing and I think the cursor moves (but I cannot see it). Here is how I got this far: 1. installed homebrew 2. using homebrew I installed wine stable 3. using wine I was able to execute ffxi install 4. was able to bring up play online viewer and update it but when the play online view restarted after the update it is just a completely black screen but the music is playing and the cursor moves around (but I cannot see anything). 5. There are error messages on the terminal but I don't know what to make of them. I searched some of them up on the internet and was lead towards having to run wine using 32 bit instead? But I do not know how to do this. Has anyone had this same issue? If so, any ideas on how to resolve? |

You shouldn't be using playonline at all. You're not following the mac/linux guide(s) that have been posted all over the forums, naswiki, etc... viewtopic.php?f=7&t=8828 |
