A virtual box (or a virtual machine) is software that simulates an operating system. I wrote a simple virtual machine in a computer science class over a decade ago. It was written in assembly, and it processed a simple instruction set, managed register memory, and supported basic I/O. You can obtain commercial virtual box software that is a lot more complex, such as Parallels Desktop. It will allow you to install and run Windows inside OSX, install Nasomi, and play the game more or less like anyone else who uses a Windows box. There are a few funky graphics glitches that don't really affect gameplay (they have been mentioned on the forum without having been solved, so let me know if you figure something out), but I found this option to be a whole lot more headache free than using Wine. But that's just me.
