Though it'd be pretty neat to have challenge events, like crazy impossible challenges that test peoples skill and tactical prowess. Just a thought, but something nasomi can get on board with and support. My personal brainstorming comes up with general rules like.... 1. Kill has to be streamed. 2. 1st kill gets x-reward, 2nd kill gets y-reward, 3rd kill gets z-reward. Rewards being like a full working emp band to use for the week or something, nothing that'd break the economy or anything. Challenges would be like "Naked Solo Ninja Challenge" Where you can take level 75 ninja, with any subjob, and main/offhand weapon, any meds, any foods, and that's it. No outside help, no pre-debuffing mobs or anything, and the challenge be something like kill one of the Molechs in Uleguerand Range. Stream the attempts and 1st 3 people to do it gets an emp band for the week. Then go down the list of jobs each week with a new challenge for each of them, like.... "Spells only RDM" vs a kindred drk "Melee BLM" vs a ladon "Naked Dagger PLD" vs a catoblepas "No Pup" vs a dahak Crazy stuff like that Just an idea, I think it'd help spice things up a bit. |

Something like that would be fun, except some of those those suggestions are just simply undoable, it's not a matter of skill or tactics. A melee BLM vs a ladon? Those hit for over 200 a pop, are IT, you wouldn't be able to keep shadows up even with haste and slow2, not to mention have about 6k hp. It would probably wreck you faster than you could spam potions. |
