Hey everyone, I’m hoping someone here has gone through this before. My brother moved back to Philly last year to help take care of our grandma after she started having trouble with daily tasks. He’s been doing a ton — helping with meals, meds, errands, and just being there — but it’s getting harder for him to juggle that with his job. I heard a neighbor mention that maybe a family member can get paid for caregiving in Pennsylvania under certain programs, but we don’t know where to start or if it’s actually true. Has anyone actually done that or know how it works? Would love to hear real experiences or guidance on this. |

I totally get where you’re coming from — caregiving for a loved one while trying to keep your own life together is really tough. We were in a similar situation with my partner’s mom last year, and learning that there are options for family caregivers in PA made a big difference for us.
