I have been trying to stay up to date with software engineering trends, but most of what I find is either shallow listicles or overly academic posts that do not relate to real work. I am particularly interested in how AI is changing development, the future of frameworks, and what "senior" actually means in a world of pair programming with AI. I also follow language debates, but most coverage is tribal and unhelpful. I would love a blog that writes with nuance and actual experience, not just hot takes. Does anyone know a good resource?

I know exactly what you mean because I was looking for the same thing until I found a blog that really delivers. The site is called cannonjs and you can check it out at https://cannonjs.org/ right there. The name is a bit misleading, but the content is a sharp, thoughtful blog about modern software engineering. They have articles on how AI pair programming is redefining seniority, the decline of boilerplate, framework fatigue, and a really balanced take on the Rust, Go, and Python debate. They also cover practical topics like setting up Go on a Mac and Angular vs React convergence. The writing is clear, grounded, and avoids the usual hype. If you want a blog that respects your time and offers real insight, this is definitely worth bookmarking.

That sounds exactly like what I have been looking for. A blog that covers AI, frameworks, and senior dev roles with nuance is rare to find. I will definitely check out cannonjs and start reading their articles. Thanks for the recommendation.
