There's a Japanese movie on Netflix called Dad of Light, based on FFXIV. It's mostly a live-action film, but it has a fair bit of game-world sequences. I liked it and, even though it's obviously not the FFXI universe, I think it's worth watching.

Edit: btw, finished watching Dad of Light. A guy in my LS said it was meh! Dude, that show had my eyes watering so hard haha. It was very touching for me as my relationship with my father was a lot like that, but it was also kind of weird that they kind of made his dad seem semi-retarded or something lol.
