I have played a lot of mmo, I have also played a lot of emu. why oh why in heaven is the dunes such a thing? I see 4 partys fighting over 6 mobs with 10 people waiting in line. this is not the ONLY PLACE TO LEVEL in this range and people stick here into there 20s syncing down. don't you get sick of lizard? I guess in FF11 "sheep" eat lizard? can someone explain this to me because its the most ridicules thing I have ever seen in an mmo with A TON OF ZONES.

It's just the local watering hole. Easier and faster to go there, wait for party, fight for mobs until you are 20 and head to Qufim. I personally love Korroloka Tunnel, but to drag people there is a whole different story. If the group doesn't level from 15-20 in one session, you still have to head to the dunes at some point anyways.

higher level players should group together to face flies or pugs to alleviate crowding. some groups can effectively fight crabs as well.

It's the easiest zone to get to for people of all nations, it has a few camps with defined levels with mobs that are very low risk and have poor defense.

Bubu is riddled with goblins, place is a nightmare to navigate. However I've had pt's on all 3 beaches, as well as the lizard camps. Easily 8+ camps supporting 12-13 parties. I view the dunes as a rite of passage, sort of like your first trip to jeuno.
