Played FFXI? never before
Came from: wotlk warmane
Years Played: only a few months playing wow
How you found us? 4chan thread
Other MMO's? wotlk
Anything else? Is there a "gold world pass" that I need to enter? I am having trouble proceeding after having created my character. I am getting the error code ffxi-3113, "protocol time out error".

Is common having difficulty making a new character , it could be that name is taken or just a random glitch , close the client and keep try once you log in first time things should be smooth

More than likely the name you are trying is taken. Put in something completely random and it will more than likely go through to the allegiance selection screen, if so, then you know that is what the problem was. Back out and try a different name until it works.
