Hi all, complete newbie to FFXI here. I've been playing XIV and got curious about this game; there are so many stories and experiences about it from Final Fantasy players. But, at least to my understanding, the current retail experience is a different beast to the "classic" FFXI that many remember. So I came here!
There's definitely a lot to get used to for someone like me, who's familiar with a more modern MMO experience. But I'm having fun so far! It's interesting to see the design influences carried to FFXIV, as well as the Final Fantasy trappings in general
That being said, I am kind of an idiot - so I would appreciate any help or advice I can get! Currently I'm a Mithra named Candee chilling in Windurst. Started as a BLM, I'd like to get to SMN if possible since it's my favorite FF job. I guess I should shout for a MogHouse linkpearl? Looking forward to playing with you all, and thanks to Nasomi for trying to keep the classic feel alive!
