Hello everyone,

Just introducing myself as a new player on Nasomi server, but used to play a nearly lvl SAM75/RNG Elvaan.

Looking forward on experiencing the game again after maaaany many years. Gona try out a Bastokan Hume.

The truth is I don't really know what job to start with so, if anyone has an idea on what jobs are missing most in the server, i'd be glad to grab it.

Welcome.

Healers are always needed. Tanks too, of course. Support jobs like BRD/COR/RDM are always good.

BLU is janky as heck on here, but apparently its great at 75.

RNG is great (but expensive ofc) if you wanna get away from the Melee DD life.

I'll try WHM then. Was already thinking about starting with it due to teleportation, though I heard now everyone can teleport...

Oh! :) :D I finaly created WHM.

So I saw the option to teleport from hp to hp is available, but it's not active then? I see... So it's still an option to make money from teleports :) :D

I don't think making money from teleports will be able to sustain you. You might get that emergency teleport to get somewhere like Teleport Holla because it is Full Moon and Night time for the Ninja Throwing Star NM.

However most will teleport using Supplies quest OP warps. There is also a "Chocobo Circuit" which allows transfer from Sandy/Windy/Bastok. So Teleporting is useful, just not worth the 1-2k gil you are prolly going to try and charge when they can spend 500 gil to change city locations and just chocobo from there.

Teleport Vazhl is helpful, but again for doing your Rank 5-1 and 5-2 quests, but you will be going for it with a team and be giving it to them.

WHM is a great class and way worth leveling. Just don't want you to think that once you hit 38 in summoning that you will be getting tells all day long for free gil.

For example, if I wanted to go to the Windy's Teleport Crystal, I would just spend the 450 gil to OP warp to burb peninsula and walk 3 mins west, which would prolly be less time then trying to find a WHM to teleport me to the crystal.

Granted you DO have to have had your country own that zone and done a supplies quest, but you could also say you would have to have the crystal too. Plus I like the ability to just do it, instead of waiting for a WHM to teleport me, it might be cheaper if you do a group rate like 1k per party? but still its just not even worth the time.

Nice lesson Benzula.

You've reminded me of how complex this game is. Just traveling takes lots of time. Gona continue with my WHM and i'll thinking a way of making money... so poor at the moment. JAjajaja

Honestly when JUST starting out, your best bet is to farm specific monsters for their crystals and drops. To get crystals you need SIGNET which you get from a Guard by the gate. Aka W.W. / I.M. / R.K before their name.

Example:

Windy - Crawlers/Bees for Silk, Wind Crystals, Earth Crystals (Which don't sell much), and Bee stuff

Sandy - Funguars/Orcs for Dark Crystals and Fire Crystals

Bastok - Lizards for Fire Crystals and tails

Once you get 12 of something you can put it on the AH and try and sell it for 10-15 gil under what they are selling for. So if 12 are selling for 1,000 sell for 990.


Two Important Notes.

Note One:
(There is no limit to the number of items you can sell even though it says you can only sell 7) Just don't click Sales Status otherwise you will have to rezone to be able to sell something.

Note Two: THIS IS SO IMPORTANT AND USEFUL.
You can access your Moghouse outside in the field. That means you are not stuck with the 30 inventory slots you think you are. Shovel everything in the Case & Satchel, leave Sack for your equipment so it is a bit organized but you can always use it as well for materials.

That will give you about 200 slots to work with vs the normal 30.

To access your Moghouse press "-" then press Right Arrow scroll to "View House" and you can see all of your mog house. Some are only accessible while in it, but the case has 80 slots, satchel/sack have 35 I believe. which is 150 slots plus the 30 you start with.

Your process to getting money should be.


Signet => Kill monsters => move stuff to moghouse and SORT, repeat until moghouse is full of stuff. Once full go to AH and spend 30 mins transferring things from Moghouse back to Inventory and on to AH sell at 10-15 gil less than what is asking until everything is cleared out from moghouse.

This is a good starting strategy and should be used for a long time, until you know more about how crafting/fishing/NM camping can help burst your Gil even faster.

Crafting - Huge gil investment, but great payout and useful too.
Fishing - Boring but good payout
NM Camping - Boring but good payout and good for specific items like Leaping Boots which sell for like 50-60k but I wouldn't be doing NMs without at least TH1 which is THF level 15.

Top Tips for Nasomi

1. You can access your Mog House's Sack/Satchel/Case anywhere. That's 150 instant slots to use.
2. You can put unlimited number of items on the AH. Just don't go to sales status.
3. Stay away from the giant winged Dragons that are randomly in the world. Those are OWNMs which are basically BCNMs but much harder, still level cap you and will kill you, they aggro on SIGHT.
4. Friend's List do not work, so create a Google doc to keep track of friends and also find a LS or 2. (Can equip 2)
5. There is a Chocobo Circuit which allows you to transfer from the main cities for 500 gil. Go from bastok to windy to sandy no problem.
6. Add Zeko to Google doc of friends list, that's me :) 55BST/37NIN/30WHM/30THF/18RDM/31BLM/5WAR
7. Nasomi has extended length of a monster being EP. You can get 30 exp from monsters much longer than retail and it is worth it for the extra crystals/quick exp when 2-3 shotting something depending on Job.
8. Some jobs have broken mechanics. Right now PuP is not that useful, and BLU has some physical Magic issues.
9. /Sea all inv will show a list of everyone looking for an invite. Put your flag up for invites.

Thanks so much man... or woman, just read your comments and will be applying them for sure. Already knew a bit from what i remember back in 2005/06. Making some money at a steady pace, enough to get my gear up to date.

Will add you to friends (sad friends list does not work) and will be asking for some more help in near future! You got Linkshell so I can get in contact with more people?
