Hello, I played many many years ago. i'm excited to start playing again. still installing atm. When I played back in the day my favorite jobs were Red Mage, Dragoon, and Paladin. Any tips for starting as a Red Mage?

also in the rules there is a mention of Multi Boxing. What does this mean and how would I do it?

You simply launch another client and log in with a 2nd account. You are limited to 2 characers (on, or offline) in the field at once and one limited to cities only under level 10.

Please make only one character per account when multiboxing.

Also, the vast majority of the server doesn't do this. We're big enough that you don't need to be 2 characters in a party. You'll find it's typically very old players or very new who do it - very old because they may have needed to in the past and very new because they don't know they don't need to.

so I've multi boxed a little bit and found it to my liking. but today my friend came over. If he is on his laptop can I still multi box on my pc? like his character + my 2 characters in a party together? or if I had a second friend over. or are we strictly limited to 2 characters outside of town at the same time per ip address?

If nas can tell you're two people, don't worry about it. However, HELM IS strictly limited to one per IP at a time. So even if he can tell you're two people on one IP, don't go fishing and mining at the same time etc.
