Hello all,

Just wanted to say that when I get off work today, I am gonna download the game and after many hours later ;) I will hopefully be joining you all.
I am not new to FFXI, tho. I played it since 2005, but currently money has been tight. After a friend mentioned to me that some games have private servers,
I decided to google search FFXI and, well, here I am. :D

So my question to all of you:

Which server is best for a casual, loves groups, player?

Welcome!

There's only one world, the zones are split up on server clusters. When you move from zone to zone, you'll move from server to server.

There's parties everywhere at pretty much all times at all levels, so I wouldn't worry about that. Some are more serious than others, but you'll find your nitch I'm sure.

Hey there! I was once an end-game lvl 75 player as well! Reverted back to such n00b in Nasomi tho xD

Finally finished download last night! Logged in and all is well. Now comes the fun part of setting up ps2 controller (which if I remember correctly, the game should already be setup for ps2). Just some tweaking of the x / y axis stuff. Somewhere I have an old guide I printed out 2 years ago for it all... Anywho, time to THF it up!! SATA all day baby! If anyone wants to static with me from lvl 1 to endgame, let me know? Would love to make new friends.

Nope, Zebb the Bard from Valefor!

But currently playing as Fayye the Mithra THF in Sandy!
