Good afternoon everyone! My name is keys of the Cognatus linkshell, and I’m originally from the Fairy server, which merged into Sylph (where someone subsequently stole my name D:< Keeys just didn’t sound right!). I started playing around when half of the CoP missions were released, up until the very day the level cap was raised beyond 75. So i’m new to Nasomi, but not FFXI. I’ve been wanting to play old school FFXI, as I have some fond memories of the game, as I’m sure most of you have too. So without further ado, I would like to take this opportunity to say hello, and thank Nasomi for making it possible to play the game I enjoyed so very much! I do have just a few questions if someone would be so kind. I did some research and reading, and understand that the game is mostly up and running the way I remember it, with some bugs here and there. I did a little fooling around in Bastok, and noticed I could click on some NPC’s and nothing would happen. I also went to unlock the mog house exit quest so I could exit anywhere from the mog house, but simply talking to the NPC for that quest unlocked the added functionality I desired. Which is cool don’t get me wrong lol. What I want to know, is if there are other similar instances for other quest? And is FFXIClopedia worth using for my general info? Or are there things that are massively different? If any of this was mentioned somewhere, I apologize since I didn’t see it. Thank you in advance! |

Typically you want to use the "History" on the top right drop down next to the Edit button on FFXIclopedia and set it to ~2012, as that's when the server's client is based off of or some NMs use their old ~2007 spawn methods (HNMs, Argus, etc.). Welcome to Nasomi, if you're a Mithra I will find you and I will pearl you. |

Welcome to Nasomi! I was in Fairy too, char name was Ramunas. Was in Eden then HokutenKnights LSs. Don't be shy to send a /tell to Ramune or just/wave while running by
