Post subject:  I'm new to XI...
So... after searching and searching for a game that could fill the void of the satisfaction from being in a raiding guild... I keep coming across people talking about XI and this server in particular, so... I thought I'd come on in and check it out.
I played XIV for a little while, but wasn't terribly fond of the subscription and decided to move on to other mmo's. I've played quite a few and for some reason, XI was one that I hadn't ever tried or gotten into.

I'm still downloading and all that jazz, just thought I would say hello.

It will help you a lot. FFXi is a much slower pace in some sense, but faster in others, than most mmo's. but its fun.

In the sense of speed, I've played games like Ultima Online, Shroud of the Avatar, Hell, Eve Online, EverQuest2 - slow isn't too much of an issue for me. Community and engagement is more what I'm seeking at this point and that slow pace is welcoming. :D

I'm actually pretty excited to get started. Just gotta wait for the install now. XD Already read and started to re-read the get-started. I've had a friend or two that made the game sound like a complicated nightmare, lol.
