Hello, I've done a bit a research and it seems to be varied and confusing.

To put it to rest, Trade your Adventurer Coupon the Jack on Clubs at E-9 in front of the Orastery in Port Windurst right where you spawned in as a new player.

I hope this clears up any confusion for any new players, as I had trouble getting this to work.

I know of at least one possible source of confusion on this matter.

When I start a new character up, I am totally aware of the free 50gil, but when I choose a non-Bastok city that I am less familiar with, the oldshool Retail habits I have prompt me to fire up some old resource like Allakazham for example. I am used to trusting them for quick info such as this, so I do a quest search, and then seconds later I am running off to a different map location.

Only problem being that either Alla has the wrong NPC info, or it doesn't apply to some change that Nasomi has made. I guess that will teach me to just commit to memorization, simple information like where the free 50 is in each city, where the backdoor Moghouse exit NPCs are, etc etc.
