So I was super excited to play on your server, as a FF lover. I've only heard great things. I'm only trying to help improve the functionality for new players, because you've completely lost any hope I've had at playing this game. I tried creating a character just around 17 times, and kept receiving the error code 3101. I tried the support you have for this error code on these forums. I've tried all "solutions" to this error code and still can't even create 1 character. My only advice would to be making things easier for new players having these troubles instead of minimal responses given by the community. I was really hoping this would be just like it was back then. I'd love to contact old friends and have them start with me. After this though, I can't have them go and get their hopes up to relive the wonders that FFXI was. To whom ever is reading this, I wish you the best at playing (if you can play and aren't like me), and I hope this private servers gives you 1000's of hours of fun like it would've for myself. Thanks for recreating the best game I've ever played and for free. I wish it worked for me, but it looks like it's back to FFXIV for this old tarutaru. Cheers, iTzSparky |

nvm just saw that you tried it. Sounds like its on your end then bud, not ours, so dunno why you're saying it's our fault and we don't help. |

I received this error too but thats because I chose a name already taken. You have to exit completely and restart the program and get back to character creation and try to make a new character with a different name. I just started a week ago and I had no issues that didn't take more than a quick google search to fix. There's been some recent DDOS attacks and maybe you're trying during those times but otherwise it's pretty easy. Edit: can log in now |

Hi I am also a new player, I just made an account and I am having the same problem. I tried with various different uncommon names but none works error 3101 after choosing a city to start in |
