Okay, what's that? I just hit level 10 and didn't fish when I played before. So, I'm definitely in need of help.

I'm new to fishing. I dabbled with WW on retail, but not much...

Does the plus skill from Fisherman's gear effect skill gain cap and can you start on the next area/fish sooner?

That is how it should work, yes. However fishing gear does not work on Nasomi, so no. :(

Yeah, really not the best idea if you want to make Gil. Isolated fish to get to 36+, can make decent Gil starting there. Best way to earn Gil fishing is to not worry about Gil fish before 76, then cash in. Though, even at 36 in SC it’s worth to skip nebs.
