Post subject: | Guild Point Items - Which ones have value? |
Wondering if some friendly forum folks can help me figure out which GP key items have value on Nasomi? It's clear some of them have no use, as some items crafted with certain GP items do not appear to have ever been sold on the AH. Gold Ensorcellment, as one example. Perhaps they are out of era, or just some of the recipes or out of era... either way, I'm just looking for a list of which ones have SOME value. Maybe this list would then help out other players. I've filled in what my best guesses are based on checking the AH. Feel free to correct me or help with the missing ones and I'll update. Alchemy
Bonecraft
Clothcraft
Cooking
Goldsmithing
Leathercrafting
Smithing
Woodworking
Also, could someone explain the AH history on Warp Cudgel and Reraise Hairpin? Does the AH automatically give that player those items and money back after listing them? Thanks in advance. |

Leather Ensorcellment is required for High-Breath Mantle, which can be nice in some situations. Cloth Purification is needed for Blink Band, which is, again, situational. Cloth Enscorcellment is useless I believe. Boltmaker for Woodworking is also garbage because it removes the benefits of HQ. |

Thanks Epyon... updated the post. Anyone know if Leather Purification or Wood Purification are also dead weight? |

The wood one is garbage, the leather one can create a few extremely situational STAT+10 enchanted belts, with the standout being the Haste Belt. http://ffxiclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Haste_Belt |

Do the fishing ones do anything? There's a belt that gives support but I don't know what support does |

It probably goes without saying, but for completeness' sake of your list, put Iatochemistry down as useless for Alchemy until PUP is fixed. |

Also on the topic of Alchemy: Concoction is very situationally useful, and only for Hi-Ether drops. 45 MP per dose, stackable to 12 in 1 inventory slot, and medication effect for 5min only really leaves room for use in specific scenarios: Can help get off a last-ditch cure or sleep/bind, or perhaps a self-refresh if you ran out of MP and convert is down, etc. |

Thanks Vavaud, updated Alchemy. Also put Clockmaking down as useless until PUP is fixed. As for most of the "crystal-saving" abilities (Chainwork/Fletching/Tanning/etc) I left those off the list since the money/time they save hardly seem worth the GP spent. I suppose some may be worth it, though. |

Alchemy : you missed the most useful anima synthesis, basis for all the purification/ensorcelement KIs. Smithing : metal purification is useful for at least 1 thing : http://ffxiclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Light_Steel used in most NIN af upgrades. |

You missed the best two, CC spinning, and WW Lumberjack, 10k each. Saves you sooooooo much time. |
