Post subject:  Question about guild point items
I noticed that the NPC has been requesting HQ items most days (this is for cooking but my questions are for all crafts).

It's been a long time since I played retail, but I don't remember them ever specifically asking for HQ items. They would ask for the NQ item and then you would just get bonus points for turning in the HQ version.

Is this a Nasomi specific thing? If the NPC asks for an HQ item, can I still get points for turning in the NQ version? Am I just remembering this wrong from retail?

You can still turn in the NQ items when they request HQ items, and you can still turn in HQ items (and receive more credit) when they request NQ items.

I am unable to turn in NQ items when they request an HQ. Just had it happen with a Breastplate at the smithing guild. I've tried it with the Brass Rod +1 as well, still doesn't accept the NQ versions. Maybe it's guild specific?

Guess so - Worked just fine the two times it's come up on Clothcraft when I was doing the points.

Last few times for me it was an item that was above me in level and had a sub craft of like 20....I couldnt make it and they were not on sale on ah. This is going to be a looooooong path lol
