Craft things that are less than or equal to 5 levels of your current skill level (6 if you use basic synthesis assistance, 8 if you use advanced synthesis assistance). If you're within 1 level of a craft, it's not worth doing. You will very rarely get skill-ups. Doing anything over the 5-8 level gap (depending on assistance used) is pointless as well - you will fail a lot and cannot skill-up on breaks. Using wikis and the AH search tool is your best bet as far as a guide goes. Since the market is constantly in flux it's pointless to write a guide on what synth to do at level X. Just know that the higher level you get, the more you're probably going to have to pay to craft stuff, and after level 60 it takes a very long time to level a craft. |
