Hello again.
Looking for a 100 goldsmith to craft some zircon/genius rings for me. PM esildir ingame please :)

Theres 20+ zircon rings and 10 genius rings on the AH right now. Go buy some. No 100 goldsmither is going to make them for you for free from your materials.

Who said anything for free? I pay for their services, and pay extra if they happen to HQ something. I apologize for not putting in my first post, figured that was a given and me and the crafter could discuss price whenever they messaged me.

Still not gonna happen bud. Why would they do that when they could just hq it themeslevs and put it on ah for full profit? 100 gs isn't a trifling.

I used to use crafting services for a fee in retail all the time. The guy gets paid for literally doing nothing, and guarantees he gets money rather than the buyer potentially buying the item from someone else in the AH. Also helps increase that crafter's reputation which could lead to future craft commissions.

But...doesn't seem very popular at all on Nasomi, I've also tried to ask for a few crafts and replies ranged from "Sorry" to "wtf hell no" even with a substantial tip offered if it HQs

The list of 100 GS is a short list. All of those rings on the AH...? Those are theirs. They're waiting for prospective buyers to come along that need those rings, and then they'll convert all of their gil/time invested in leveling GS and then also HQ'ing those rings into realized profits.

The number of people that need genius rings is finite. Removing a prospective buyer from the pool for a "tip", rather than banding together and ensuring that person has to buy from the items they've already invested in creating would be foolish.

You might find someone, from time to time, but if you're asking someone to craft you a gil synth for a tip.. In general, we've realized it's better to say no. Chances are that means you'll buy something we've already invested in creating and are waiting to sell.


Ignoring how many times people decide to help someone out, and craft something (even HQ it), and get tipped some gil and then see that item sold in 2 weeks.. Thus removing two prospective buyers from the pool for your already created items.

I'm with Cil. This trend really needs to end. You buy the products. The crafter produces them. Unless its an obscure piece with no market, this is an extremely annoying request to people who have taken hours and hours and millions upon millions of gil to skill up their craft. Sell the mats. Buy your things. Or go skill it up yourself.

Why is this concept foreign to people? Every HQ they make out of your mats is a HQ they'll never sell, in a VERY finite pool of buyers. Especially in this scenario where theres near dozens of them up on AH.

Taking mats to a crafter for a chance at a HQ is daft. A crafter is almost always going to keep any HQs and redo you a NQ.
