Post subject:  Last level of skill up
I haven't been able to get a single skill up on the last level of an item. For example orange juice cap at level 10. I got to 9 easy enough and then 12 stacks of oranges later and nothing. So I switched to sliced sardines, cap at level 11. Got to 10 pretty easy and now I'm 8 stacks in and not a single skill up again.

The closer you are to the cap, the lower your skillup rate goes. I'd suggest stop skilling up 2 levels short of the cap of an item as you stop getting skillups from breaks.

Edit: I got some 0.1s as high BC 1 lvl from cap yesterday, odds just suck.

Are you not seeing a pattern? :P

If you're looking to get skill ups, try to pump crafts that are 3-5 levels above you. You'll skill up like crazy even with the occasional break here and there. but its better than stuffing your inventory with junk you will never sell or take forever to make pennies on. Unless of course it's an ingredient you'll need a ton of later on.

Are you sure you didn't have basic synth support on? At Amateur rank you should have little trouble skilling up even 1 below cap. I've probably done ~20 levels at '1 below cap' over the last few weeks and the only time I've seen anything close to 30 synths without a skillup was in the 50s.

Nas fucked skill ups on the last 2 levels of synths so that theyre essentially nonexistant. They were never this bad in retail so you hafta always find a bridge synth.
