Here's the page from Allakhazam:

Reading through the comments and noting the dates they were posted makes it pretty clear 33/66/99 are the correct yields.

Quote:
As another poster said, the steel ingot drives the price. On carbuncle server I can sell my steel ingots for 5k, and even more in jueno. Considering you need 3 ingots to make a stack of 99, 10k at AH is a good price. The only way they are making money is when the have an HQ synth and make 66 or 99 from one. And relying on HQ's to make money is not how I want to make money.

Posted by Cutculain on March 29, 2004 in response to why they are so expensive on the AH despite the simple recipe and "high amount per craft."

Any ideas if Smooth Velvet will be introduced to Nasomi? With all the blossoming BLUs, it'd be awesome to see them be able to upgrade their relic pieces.

I'm guessing from this Allakahzam page that it was implemented around 2005? That should make it in-era.

It's been on the list since Sly mentioned it in 3rd or 4th reply, nearly 5 months ago...

From Cooking: Akamochi and Fruit Parfait are way out of era and still crafteable in this server. Is this intended?

Also, the recipe for Cornstarch (used on Akamochi ) seems to be considered a Desynthesis in this server (based on fail rate at cap level Alch Lv. 9 ) where it should be a regular recipe.

Bumping this as the level 85/90 hq3 gem + nq/hq plat earring recipes still have a bunch of inconsistencies in their desynth results.

At least death earrings do not work at all, and at least sapphire and ruby earrings have opposite results.

Raptor Grip can not be desynth.

Can anyone confirm if shuriken crafting results were ever fixed? They are most certainly not supposed to be 3/6/9/12....

Again, maybe it was changed sooner or something, but here are the ffxiwikipedia history pages from 2006 and 2011.

http://ffxiclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Fuma ... ldid=91481 2006
http://ffxiclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Fuma ... id=1349591 2011

The next change to the page was done in 2014 and updates it to 33/66/99

I need proof that 33/66/99 is in era to add it.

Check this entry by Gahoo from 2006 as there are 2-

http://ffxiclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Shur ... did=157275

The Fuma Shuriken were 3/6/9/12 according to Gahoo's entry for those, but the Shuriken were 33/66/99.

Hopefully I can clear this up. In 2011-ish I (and I'm sure others) remember SE changing the stack values of a number of items from 12 to 99. Shurikens were 1 of these (off the top of my head other throwing items too like Pebbles were upped from 12 to 99). They used to only stack to 12, hense the synth was just 3/6/9/12. When SE updated the stack size they also clearly updated the synth recipie output too.

Some balance would be nice, if they are 99 stack in game then 33/66/99 results would be best. If they are gonna stay at 3/6/9/12 then maybe revert their stackable size back to 12?

I definitely vividly remember wondering why anyone would ever use them because of stack size being 12
