I only have a couple 70+ jobs at the moment, WAR and BLM. If I cant find help, which would be better to solo this NM in Toraimai? Any surprises with it or strats? Thanks |

It's an elemental mob so I'd say blm has a better chance than war. The big thing will be trying to get all the surrounding mobs in the area out of the way with enough time. You'll likely have a tough time nuking them all down. If you have a thf friend to flee and agro the whole room and run everything away far enough to hide them and depop, you can probably kill the elemental nuking and binding it. Either keep gravity on it if /rdm or /nin with shadows and make sure your bind timer will be ready before the next nuke. If you don't have a friend to depop the room and your blm is only 70, theres a very good chance for failure. |

I was thinking about clearing the room and popping with sneak (no aggro) getting some distance and grav > bind > nuke > repeat, similar to what you suggested. No stranger to the zone but only fear my timers like bind or ability to land grav. Not such if this will build resistance. BLM about to ding 73 so gonna try at 73. Hopefully can grab someone to hold it, thf or nin, while I nuke it down. |

Solo'd it as a 75 Taru Sam w/ decent gear. It'll be a close fight, but it's manageable with your war probably. |

Thanks I thought this option too but also remember the stupid Chaos Elemental (lvl42) in Xarcabard that you kill for the casting wand...oddly enough took my 75 war a long time to chop it away. I did such piddly damage to a lvl42 elemental with -DT that I can't imagine a lvl64

Did this yesterday with BLM + THF. It was a joke. Almost no resistance to magic damage. THF built hate and nuked down with no issue. |
