Post subject:  chatoyant vs HQ elemental staff
newly 75 blm here a little confused

do i just need chatoyant for all nuking and dark and enfeebling or aquilo for ice spell etc etc

or just ice/thunder hq then rest all chat

now about 1 million short for chat but i bought an aquilo when i was lvling blm

if i have chat aquilo's no use then i can sell it i will immediately be closer to chat

is that right?

You only really need Chat and Aquillos, so you'll want to keep your Aquillos. Chat for everything except Ice magic, for Ice spells you will still want to use Aquillos because of the extra +Elemental Magic Skill it provides. Earth staff for %dmg reduce if you utilize a dmg reduction gearset for when you are getting smacked in the face.
