So I’m aware that Blm get progressively less effective and less wanted in exp parties as the level rises, particularly with the prevalence of TP burn parties. 1. With this being the case, how do Blm exp ~30-75? Is it party play, solo/duo, low man, specific mobs/parties etc? How do they do it? 2. Can Blm be used for meritting, if so are the parties easily found/created/get invited to? What kind of parties? Or is a more merit party friendly job required to reliably gain merits. Please don’t presume I am knowledgeable about Blm, or ffxi in general to some extent! Thanks for any advice, appreciated |

There are ways of gaining a good amount of EXP/merits on BLM... once you're 75, geared and merited. Yeah... You'll likely want another job to merit on if you don't have 2-5 friends willing to let you "gimp their merits, brah." |

That’s a shame, I was considering going full time Blm for all exp/merits, becoming the best Blm I can be! But sounds like it’s not a good idea in the grand scheme of things. Thanks for replies, more info/viewpoints are welcome |

You can but for greatly reduced exp per pet. Aka not worth it really. |

Magic damage was adjusted from a placeholder formula placed into dsp in 2010 to a more realistic formula, putting damage and resist rates closer to this time period in retail. That meant a reduction in a lot of places. It's also meant a lot of magic-based monster TP moves deal less, too. A lot less complaining about bomb toss since the magic damage change. |

I heard promy v is great for soloing. Can anyone support this? I'm guessing tier1 mobs fl1 freeze. Does this 1shot them or need a tier 1 / 2 to finish off? |

Great? Meh. The EXP isn't amazing, but it's there. You can solo with good gear, /NIN, and a little bit of a luck. A duo is very safe. Prior to Prommy-V, you can do Prommy-Dem. |
