Since it seems there are no questions in the non specific job spot of the forums...

Post subject:  Since it seems there are no questions in the non specific job spot of the forums...
Pumpkin Goombas are amazing.

Alright now with that out of the way, I am absolutely loving my monk, and appreciate that H2H gives me evasion and Guarding Experience, but I have been enjoying leveling up staff for that sweet parry experience. My question is this:

If I switch main jobs does the applicable weapon levels come over with me, or do I ahve to start at level 1 for all of them in that class?

For instance my staff is level 9, if I go white mage is white mage staff different, or does it keep my exp?

Also thank you guys for the help in advance, and I guess for my second question what classes do you think compliment monk as a subclass well?

I am currently level 9 monk.

Yes, you keep your combat skills and magic skills from job to job. You have to be on the actual job or subjob to use Job Abilities and Job Traits though.

Monk's most useful subjobs are probably Warrior (for high damage output) or Ninja (to neutralize damage taken with shadows).

Um so white mage maxes out at 5 staff skill? or is 5 maxed because of my job level in it?

As you level up, your skill cap increases. 5 may be the max for WHM at level 1.

Also, there is a bug where sometimes your skill will show as capped (blue) when it should not be. You can change a piece of gear to get it to uncap.

Awesome thank you! I am level 3 and my staff has almost caught up to my actual skill in staff.
