for all my beginner thfs here is a macro that will make your thf awesome after lvl 15
/attack <t>
/wait 1
/ja "sneak attack" <me>
/wait 1
/weaponskill "fast blade" <t>

Obviously you can change weapon skill out to anything you want but you should know only certain weapon skills work with sneak attack. here is a small list
wasp sting
combo <<< recommended low levels
fast blade <<< recommended low levels

also in my macro i put attack first this way you can begin a new mob with a sneak attack weapon skill.
you can also use this while soloing when you get sleep bolts (sleep mob, disengage, walk behind and use macro) there also might be a way to do it with out disengage but i cant remember how XD

I personally just back up from the monster so that I'm "out of range" but still in range to weaponskill. It's around 4 yalms.

great idea thanks! I always did the turn around until it said "you cant see the mob" or right after my atk then popped the macro

I'm sure I'll find out once I unlock subjobs and get thf to 15 but... Does Sneak Attack (and Trick Attack) work the same where here as retail w.r.t. the attack delay?
On retail, SA and TA would trigger an additional delay equal to your weapon delay which assisted in preventing TA .. accidental attack...SA ...Weaponskill.
I used to love how you could trigger a very quick TA SA WS or if something required it, a long delayed sequence

I have been having problems with the wait 1 line. I will SA /wait 1 then WS...but it doesn't always want to trigger the ws, in fact, sometimes it will trigger it almost 5 seconds after I press it. Seems like server lag. Anyone else have this problem? It seems to happen quite often and that would be frustrating in a party if you are trying to SATA but cant.

I recommend not having a sataws macro.
I've always been a fan of a sa macro, a ta macro, and a ws macro.
Personally I run Ctrl+2 as ta, Ctrl+3 as SA, and Ctrl+4 as WAS (Ctrl+8 as hide).

Also through testing I can say there is no auto attack delay incurred by using a self buff job ability (eg SA, TA) as referenced in my earlier post in this thread.
That means you have to time activation to coincide with an autoattack delay. Fortunately the window for hitting skillchains on Nasomi is very forgiving so waiting is a non issue

to be safe:

SA Macro
/recast "Sneak Attack"
/ja "Sneak Attack" <stpc>

(use <stpc> so you can cancel out if you just want to check recast or hit by mistake)

TA Macro
/recast "Trick Attack"
/ja "Trick Attack" <stpc>

SATA Macro
/echo +++ SATA +++
/ja "Sneak Attack" <stpc>
/wait 1
/ja "Trick Attack" <lastst>

That way if you accidentally hit the macro and instead of cancelling out select someone else and confirm, TA won't go off at least

You can make that into a WS macro but IMHO you should really learn how to time it. You should always be in control, no matter what job you're playing. Relying on macro timers to do stuff for you is a recipe for disaster.
