Dinged 55 recently on THF and am feeling like my Acid Bolts hardly ever proc lately and the damage is starting to trail off. Should I just give up on Acid Bolts and moved to a more straight damage choice of ammo at this point? Have a hit a point where ranged attacks aren't even worth weaving in dps wise? |

Acid bolts' procrate is determine by the level difference between you and the target, as well as mob resistances. On a non-resistant mob, you should see close to a ~70% procrate if it's just barely in IT range. Maybe you're fighting mobs that are too high of a level? It drops off pretty quickly in usefulness if the mobs are well above IT. edit: if you are concerned about whether it's worth using at all: if you don't have a dispel in the party, you could use it on mobs that use defense boosting abilities (like cocoon), because removing that debuff is really useful. The actual effect of the bolts isn't major. |
