Charm + gear adds 5% to duration of charm on a mob. The question I have is do I have to wear the Charm + gear the whole time I have the pet or is it proc'ed when I actually charm the pet? Can I swap out my gear and keep the + duration? On the other side of it. Can I charm without the charm + gear and then later on put the Charm + gear on and still get the effect? |

So I know nothing about charm specifically, but generally speaking things of that nature are checked at the time the ability is executed only. Enspells and spikes are the only exception I know of where they check the enhancing magic skill at the time the hit takes place rather than what you were wearing at the time you casted them. |

it's supposed to only matter at the moment of charm, but I can't guarantee since I haven't tested on Nasomi personally. |
