Better than reward, no cooldown when most potions for player characters make you medicated?

Sure the wiki entry goes back to ToAU release (datamining) but it wasn't activated until long after, prob for the reason that it is blatantly overpowered.

These combined with bsts stacking familiar however many times throughout the Tiamat window is how Andros was able to hold Tiamat for 15 minutes with just a carrie. Another perfect example of why it should be fixed. A terrible player tried to rdm tank and got tossed up by tia in less than 30 seconds but was able to come back the next week and hold it like this.

Other things about BST that differ from retail:

-When your pet dos an AOE after you use Sic and it aggroes other mobs, they're supposed to de-aggro when your pet dies/uncharms/leaves. As it is currently, everything stays aggroed
-If you send a pet to fight something, and it uncharms on the way to that mob, the mob will all of a sudden have hate towards you, even if you haven't done anything else towards it
-Pets don't regen health when you tell them to Stay
-Normally, if you have multiple mobs attacking a pet, it'll bounce hate around and attack multiple targets. On Nas it only attacks one mob
-Repop times for mobs that you Leave outside of their spawn are are supposed to be short (like 30 seconds to a minute or two), but on Nas it takes the same amount of time to repop as if you had killed them


So if we add up all the things that are different about BST compared to retail for the era - including what I've mentioned plus all the other outstanding things other people have mentioned - we've got a pretty large list of discrepancies. Is the priority here to actually make the job reflect retail, or to just nerf the one exploit that almost no one uses (Familiar stacking)?

Never ever ever would anyone argue that a job should only be nerfed and not fixed to retail standards instead. Except for that one guy angry about RNGs.

It was 3-5 minutes, but still OP.

But this entire thread reeks of hypocritical tears from other jobs who all also have their own non-era broken aspects that they won't admit. Like how many rangers/cors/thfs have been abusing Salmon Sushi all this time? Lets ban them too!

Every COR/RNG/THF I've ever partied with uses pot-au-feu. What's special about Salmon Sushi?

You aren't going to get banned for just playing BST; Nas is actually pretty reasonable. The only part that's an obvious exploit in my mind is abusing familiar stacking.

Salmon Sushi was giving absurd amounts of R.Acc. But that's been fixed.

Nas typically avoids punishing people for that sort of thing. It's not worth it. He didn't even punish the SMNs that were using Meteorite to super exp in Bhaflau, he isn't gonna punish BSTs for anything they're capable of doing now either. But that doesn't mean they aren't broken.
