Myself and at least two others that I know of can't progress "The Old Monument". I've heard this has been an issue for a few days now. The Song Runes in Buburimu Peninsular are not triggering the cutscene. Trading the Parchment does nothing.

Just reporting this in case Nas isn't aware (although I've heard he is). I've mentioned in Naschat but thought it might be helpful to post here. At least others will be aware if they see this too.

Just to note also that I have followed the quest steps correctly. The Mithra in Jeuno has told me about the Song Runes in Buburimu. I've then gone to the Song Runes and they just don't do anything when examined.

Hopefully it will be sorted at some point but just be aware in case you're planning to unlock Bard anytime soon!

(P.S. I'm not complaining, just reporting. I know Nas runs this on his own and I'm super appreciative. Like genuinely, thank you Nas!)

TL;DR: Initial quest in chain for Bard unlock does not work currently.

Edit: Sorry I've just noticed this has been reported in the Game Support forum.

Nasomi recently tweeted "Everything works again." I'm not sure if this was supposed to include the Bard quest but I still can't progress it. Now the mithra in the bar is saying "You should be a bard!" again and the hume won't say anything. Song Runes in Buburimu still don't work.

Edit: I heard the server went down, I guess that's what Nasomi's tweet was about.
