Ooh sorry to dig this up a month later but this is a fun conversation. /BLU: Probably the most fun, as well as the best damage output of the choices. Where it lacks is in basic utility, such as reraise, sneak, invis, and -na spells. Great choice if you have an alt to do these things for you. /WHM: Most usefull choice if you want to truly solo, no alt. Also the best sub to keep you alive. /RDM: Gets you some fun tools like en- spells and spikes. Bio can also be good in certain situation. Fast cast is always welcome. Don't expect to land sleep or gravity or anything like that on any mob worth killing. Missing some of the utility of /WHM like reraise and -na spells, but also a fun option. Don't do /BLM. I don't know if that needs to be said, but there it is. Unless you just have to have warp or escape, it's useless. |

Sheldon was rippin up the limits of drg/blu on nasomi like 4 years ago, I'd say they prolly got the most real experience with it, may can ask them some question about it. Good pplz too. I've said this for awhile now, if we had everything we should have for this era, including salvage and odin, drg would be the king of dps, drg/blu would be the king of solo, and this would be a world full of pld/nin/rdm/whm/brd/cor/blm/drg meta. /blu is by and far the best solo sub. Great defensive spells in cocoon? check. 6 mana healing breath in sprout smack (plus a slow and hella short casting time)? check. mess around with spell combos to give you passive traits against whatever you're trying to solo? check. no other caster sub comes close |

 No deep breathing, max wyvern HP equipment attainable on nasomi. Max Deep breathing is slightly over 800. But I’m lazy. Max Deep, and equipment wyvern breath unresisted.

On another note, /Nin is the best subjob for solo DRG you goof balls.... all spells trigger healing breath.... all... spells... AND I swear to god if nasomi changes it WITHOUT giving me Empathy or strafe merits I’ll shit a golden brick. While your at it wyvern macc is so god damn low I couldn’t hit an unresisted breath attack on fucking hill lizards in dunes at 75 much less “content”. |
