Heyo Folks,

Gear list for folks to work towards upon hitting 75 pre-endgame runs:

Weapon: Mezraq
Offhand: Pole Grip

Throwing: Tiphia Sting (Cycle in Angon)

Head: Walahra Turban for TP gen, O-Hat for WS
Neck: Peacock Charm
Earrings: Assault Earring, Brutal Earring
Body: Assault Jerkin for WS, Baron Corozza for Jump
Gloves: Dusk Gloves for TP, Tarrasque+1 for WS (Homam suggested from Sea)
Rings: Sniper's Ring, Raja's Ring (Potentially a Flame ring for WS)
Back: Amemet +1
Belt: Swift Belt for TP gen, SwordBelt+1 for WS
Legs: Conte Cosciales (Homam suggested from Sea)
Feet: Drachen Greaves, Dusk boots for TP gen (Homam suggested from Sea)

**If you aren’t doing 10%+ haste there’s not a whole lot of reason to wear any so you can stay in ohat.

Thanks,
Rab

Edit 1: Added in the suggestions below, fixed missing Gloves and Neck.
Edit 2: Updated Body suggests from below.
Edit 3: removed werewolves belt, added haste comment (thanks Rubi & Melon)

Any particular reason why you left out Homam gear? I see you have other items like Brutal and raja's so I am assuming your factoring in sea items.

Homam hands/legs/feet are all good stuff, debates ensue about the body, and simply no to the head. Gotta get those 3 tho. Also, good luck finding/affording conte cosciales, but barone cosciales are pretty good too. Add neptunal abj gear on to your list for ws.

Ah I'll look into the Homam hands/legs/feet. I was originally looking for the best gear I could solo/buy to get into end-game with. I haven't done Sea before and I'm not sure how to get the Homam stuff. Will look that up :)

Thanks for the tip on switching grips... I assume that the double attack grip is better in general then?

Yes to pole grip.

You didn't list hands (or I missed it?) but I assume you're aiming for dusk hands?

For a pre endgame build, I think that's a really good list you have. Maybe throw in a warwolf belt for WS if you'd like...but not really necessary. Same thing goes for a flame ring.

@Valacar: Thanks! I did forget gloves... I will admit I wrote this up initially during a boring work meeting.. Will add! Thank you :)

Another underrated (and vastly cheaper) option for a ring is the assailant's ring. I've done some testing and it looks like it holds up at least as well as a +5 str ring for merit parties. Not quite as good for the hefty stuff such as hnms but at a few thousand gil it's an easy way to get your foot in the door.

Oh and don't forget about a jump set. Barone cosciales, drachen greaves and possibly barone corazza if you can find one. The damage boost is noticeable and the barone gear gets you to your ws just a bit quicker. Then just stack up the vit. Bibiki seashell is good for this.

No assault jerkin from ose?

Assault jerkin is cool too. Only problem with it is inventory. If you already have a barone corazza, you'll definitely slot that for your jump set and it kinda does most of what the jerkin does. It's better for solo too, +enm helps keep hate off your wyvern and 2 per tick extra regen is kinda noticeable. Jerkin just edges it out for merit parties tho.
