I'm looking into levelling some viable HNM/Endgame jobs, and as I'm a fan of pet-jobs Summoner sparked my interest.

When looking at a lot of lev 75-era guides it's frequently underlined that MP is an incredibly important stat. On my latest character I've rolled Galka however (tired of blowing up to AoE as a Taru in retail), which means I'll have a whopping 419 less MP compared to a Taru 75 Summoner.

When it comes to SMN endgame, how screwed am I as a Galka? Have I pigeonholed myself into a virtually unplayable race/job combination, or does the availability of -Perpetuation and sources of Refresh/Ballad make a Galka summoner still viable?
Will (competitative) endgame shells still invite this race/job combo?

If you used the same stat calculator I'm looking at at the time of this post, just know that those values are NOT 100% accurate.

With that said, any race and job combination works just fine here. Don't let the lower MP blind and/or stop you from wanting to be a mage on Galka. You'll find that the extra HP will end up saving you more in the long run than the extra MP would.

The only thing gating to SMN is having the MP upkeep to continuously use a BP whenever it's ready.

Probably way to late to reply to this... But my 75 galka smn has over 1000 mp after gear/merits. I dont feel gimped at all.
