King Ranperre's Tomb Is a fantastic place to level up from 10-15 because bats will always be spawning, and so will be goblins. Goblin thugs drop Wild Onions which you can sell on the AH, and just plain gil, along with a few other miscellaneous items. Bats drop bat wings which can be traded to Secondiand after you talked to him and obtained the quest Fear of the dark. This gives you 200 gil per 2 bat wings, and fame, which is needed to help you obtain other quests that are actually needed to unlock certain jobs, and the money is also nice to help upgrade your gear/get new spells.

Beast Men Seals, are used to access BCNMS mostly. They have items that give good drops that can sell for a lot of money on the Auction House.

Another way to make money is to fish, but that can be tedious to do especially if you don't like it. I've made easily 400-500k gil leveling it to just level 50.

For me, I always do level 1-9 on the lv1 rabbits worms and bats right outside of the gates in West Ronfaure. At 9-12(or 13) I go to King Ranperre's Tomb and kill bats, worms, and goblins. At 12-13, I head to the dunes

Go to King Ranperre's Tomb (some things stop giving XP at 14 but most things will give you XP til 15) and kill everything in sight basically. There's Bats (trade in bat wings to NPC for quest for 200gil), worms drop ores and rings you can sell cheap, goblins drop masks and armor you can sell by the stack, and the occasional Wool that sells for 3k.

Alternatively you can go to La Thiene Plateau but the mobs are too spread out there for my liking unfortunately.


Thanks! I'm down in the tomb now, it's defenitely soloable for me right now =) Though I'd love to group up with someone.

Is there a way I can advertise I'm looking for group without posting in chat every now and then?

On your menu, you can goto Party and turn on your Party flag. You'll see a Green "!" next to your name. Also, you can edit your party search comment which then shows up on the website here under quick links at the top right, where Party Finder is.

Once you hit 12 though, you can run to the valkurm dunes and party with 5 other people.

Uhh.. I'm not at my game, but it's under the Party menu... I think you scroll all the way down? To edit comment, maybe?
