Yeah, the hands will work as long as: • You have signet • -Your- nation (whichever it is at the time) does not control the region you're in • The region you're in is subject to Conquest. If in doubt, hit /rmap and see if it says "this area is not subject to conquest" or something to that effect. Note that Dynamis zones and ToAU zones aren't subject to Conquest Also, for anyone else that changes just to buy them - you do NOT need to change to Windurst and rank up to buy them (or any other conquest item from any other nation, like PPA/CCA, etc.). You just need to be at least one rank higher than the rank for the item in its home country (you need to spend one rank higher's-worth of points on the item you want), and your country needs to be higher in Conquest tally rank for the week than the country you're buying from. E.g.: If you're from Bastok and want Master Caster's Bracelets, which are purchasable at Rank 8 in Windurst for 40k points, you need to be Rank 9 in Bastok, and Bastok needs to be 2nd or 1st AHEAD of Windurst (not tied... at least not back in retail). Go to the Windurst Consulate in Metalworks and talk to the Windurstian gate guard there, and you'll be able to buy the Bracelets for 48k points (the same amount you'd spend for a Rank9 item in Bastok). |

You can't buy Master Caster's Bracelets as anything but a Windurstian. You can't purchase items from other nations which require that nation to be 1st or 2nd, and bracelets require rank 1 or 2 Windurst iirc. I'm Windurstian on both characters so I can't verify that's how it works here, but I think Exelyon tried to purchase them a while back and wasn't able to because he wasn't from the best nation in Vana'diel. On topic: The bracelets *should* work if you change, considering they aren't "Citizens of Windurst:" Edit: Found Exe's old thread in my post history: viewtopic.php?p=34380#p34380 |

Any chance someone has them with a nation change that can confirm they work vs looking @ wiki? |

Most of this is false for Nasomi. Unless he fixed something very recently, items dependent on conquest are always active if you have signet. Control of the region doesn't matter, and they work in Dynamis just fine. also, you can't buy other nation's rewards here. |

I’ve tested conquest items in and out of multiple zones, at least the bracelets and the JM Tuck+2 I used to carry around on RNG and they always seemed to respect the rules, but I’ll check again. Also, you absolutely can buy other nation’s conquest gear here - I have an Iron Musketeer’s Quiver (Bastok) and I’m from Windurst, and never changed nations. Picked it up at the consulate in Port Windurst back when I was still leveling RNG. At a minimum it at least works there for Windurst citizens, but I’ll try it out elsewhere, too. I’ve only been playing for a bit over a year-ish, so it’s definitely possible these were ninja-fixed sometime relatively recently if they didn’t work in the past. Edit: I just read the post higher up about not being able to buy items that require the source nation to be rank 2 or 1- that could definitely still be the case. Hard for me to test myself since Windurst is always hanging out in 3rd ![]() |

Iron Musketeer's Quiver doesn't require Bastok to be in 1st or 2nd in conquest, so you can absolutely buy it as a foreigner. Master Caster's Bracelets require Windurst to be in 1st or 2nd, and therefore can only be purchased by Windurstians. |

Yeah I didn’t realize that was a thing, my apologies for talking out of my posterior and falsely getting anyone’s hopes up Still gonna go test item activation later, could be item-specific. |
