Post subject:  Manaclipper officially broken since latest patch...
As an avid rider of the aforementioned Manaclipper I can confirm that the boat is 100% non functioning since the latest patch. You can step on the boat when it arrives, but as soon as the boat departs.. it leaves you stranded on the water until it comes back again (6-9 minutes later). No combination of logging, warping, hard crashing, holding a 4 leaf clover helps to advance your character on the boat.

Needless to say this will cripple CoP progression for all new members and needs to be addressed immediately!

Anybody have additional insight on this?

As a side note, I know the boat itself has always been wonky at best but this post is in regards to it not working at all since today's patch.

can confirm, went on my BLU to go learn spells, checked ticket before boarding ect, boat left without me, i was able to run way way way out into the water (further than previous bugs) and was forced to warp as i was unable to walk back to the dock. nas pls fix so i can get my job traits ty.

people who have encountered this: how many iterations of boat departures did you miss? did you wait for another boat to send you off? im asking this because i have seen this glitch intermittently (I missed maybe 4-5 manaclippers total), but waiting for the next boat seemed to be okay. but this was weeks ago when i was breaking/repairing my lu for woodworking, so maybe an intermittent problem has become constant. or maybe, as parz' post indicates, there is an entirely different cause of a similar symptom.

Correct. The boat leaving you stranded in the air is something that would regularly happen on both docks. Often the next boat would grab you, but not always, and sometimes on the purgo isle side, youd just zone as an invisible boat took you.

However, after 3 hours of testing it this morning on the bibiki bay side, it does seem that the boat leaving the player stranded in mid air is now the only outcome. Nas' latest maintenance patch notes included bastok bridge rework, so maybe this is a result of him playing with the airship and boats in relation to that.

As someone who has ridden the boat pretty much daily for the past month and a half - I tried departing about 15 straight times - every single time failed as I mentioned above. This included zoning, warping and running back, logging, anything you can think of (on 2 separate characters). It's not working at all but I'm going to try again today.

Someone tell nas? I’m on vacation and I don’t have my computer set up yet. 15 missed boats is definitely a new problem.

I sent him a PM last night but he hasn't responded to me (he never responds to me which could be a good or bad thing, lol). I came here figuring someone that gets responses from him more frequently than I could push him to realize it's not working :) I'm going to leave my pm to nas open just in case.

Tried again this morning and it's still happening so it's definitely not functioning at all!

Agreed Tiktaks - everyone should be messaging Nasomi on Naschat as much as possible - it's the only way this type of stuff gets fixed! Keep clamoring that CoP Progression is broken or this won't climb his priority list!
