I am doing the drk quest to unlock. I am on my 22war. skill cap for GS is suppose to be 65. It has me capped at 7. Is this because of the Chaosbringer being equipped or something else? |

You're attacking lvl1 mobs. The cap for skill ups is your targets level, even if your true cap is 200+ levels higher. Edit: Try changing gear/zones if the number is blue. |

If it's showing as blue in your combat skills, sometimes it bugs, just need to unequip and re-equip and should fix it. |

FWIW the skill cap bug often happens if you gain a combat skill against a mob and that combat skill happens to put you at the cap for that given mob.* At least that is my experience skilling up on steelshells. They will take you to character level 74 skill caps at best (depending on the level of the crab) *Slight mechanics backstory - You gain skill for actions taken against a mob dependent on the mobs level. I.e. if you attack a level 30 mob all day long, the highest your skill will get is the skillcap for your job/weapon combination at level 30. For the sake of this bug, let's say you are level 10 fighting a level 5 mob with an A+ skill weapon. A+ skill weapons cap at Level*3+3 pre level 60(?). You hit this level 5 mob and gain the last .1 to move from 17 to 18. Awesome! Getting stronger! Unfortunately you don't realize that your skill has accidentally turned blue and you murder a bunch of level 6,7,8 level mobs with no skill ups. Fortunately I've never seen this happen with a puppet...so there that Edit: Also, yes, change gear that makes your char re-render (visible gear) to reset it |
