Directions used to work on Nas, because they were in DSP. People read the DSP source code and knew exactly what to do to maximize crafting yields, so it got taken out. There's almost certainly no reason to deal with any of the facing directions mumbo jumbo on Nas, and afaik no testing done after the change has revealed any variance outside of normal error rates. |
