I'd say any public information is everyone's business. Nas could hide names from AH sales if he wanted to. Speculation is fun on these mostly dead forums.

I personally like to watch a variety of item prices/sellers to see if trends can be tracked. Its basically how I make all my gil. And this one just threw me for a loop.

We can obviously speculate all we want, it's just not likely to have any sort of productive outcome, and the guy is under no obligation to confirm any speculation.

He's using them to make Cursed Hauberks -1

If you were hoping to get a haubergeon for less than 500k, then you waited for too long.

Also, if you undercut haubergeons to the point that they were down to 500k, then you lost a potential 80k extra.

Try to remember haubergeon is a crafting material.

Ya I'm confused - someone buying a ton of crafting materials is not weird or suspicious at all...it's normal. We gonna make a thread with insect wing AH history too?

I just thought it was odd to see someone buy ~20m of a "crafting material" zeroing the stock basically overnight. Especially when clearly no one else was valuing the price at this same level.

But sure, feel free to be deliberately obtuse.

People have a lot of gil on this server. People like Armada Hauberks. 20mil is about half of what a cursed hauberk -1 will sell for.

If someone is making one for themselves or has a buyer, not too surprising to see 20-30 mil in mats disappear in short order.

I'd spend 20 mil to make 35 mil or in a good run 70mil np o.O

I think calling someone deliberately obtuse once it's been demonstrated to you that you were misinformed is well.... deliberately ironic.

He probably just watched Shawshank Redemption and wanted to sound like Andy Dufresne
