I think you log on the account area of Nasomi's main webpage, choose your character and go to Maintenance, then hit race change. There are some restrictions on your lvl and maybe a craft at certain lvl? Then you chose race, and sadly the face of new race is the same number you choose for previous :(

Might not be the look you wanted, but at least we have the option at all.

Be proud of your heritage. Unless you're tarutaru that is...

From the NasWiki:

Race Changes

You are able to request a race change twice for the lifetime of your character.

Navigate to https://na.nasomi.com/account under the maintenance tab to begin your race change.

You must meet **ALL** of the following requirements to be eligible for your first change
Must have a job that is level 50 or above
Must have a crafting skill that is level 30 or above
You must meet **ALL** of the following requirements to be eligible for your second and final change
Must have a job that is level 75
Must have a crafting skill that is level 60 or above

the only thing i would add to this discussion is that you can't change your model type number, which will carry over to your new race/gender. there are 16 character models per race+gender (2 degrees of freedom with 8 face and 2 hair options) so when you change, the corresponding model will be used for your new race+gender.

edit: also, you can't change your height, so that's another degree of freedom that's already determined

System used to be send a PM to Nasomi asking for a race change. Since he implemented the race change into the account page, he limited it to two swaps.

Honestly, I have never understood why he didn't allow people to change more than twice since it's now an automated process. Put a cooldown or something in after the first two changes if you are worried about people switching constantly. Or even make it cost gil after the first two times.

But if Nas doesn't want it, it doesn't happen.

Cause nothing would stop you from doing 1 event ad taru blm and another event as elv pld and then zerg an event as galka drk, then back to taru blm. Race is part of the identity, is as important as your name, race change is allowed for only a few key reasons, I'm sure he'd rather not do race changes at all, but it's a way to help people remesh over a decision as an upstart, and use it to find themselves a spot they, and their teammates can make the most of in the end. I.E. you start off as a taru blm, but then realize the limitations a taru's hp brings, when you've decided that you enjoy playing drk more, well you have the option to not be stuck ad a taru and not be held back from what you want to become. Asking more than that from the race change system is asking too much.
