Post subject:  Curious Grouping?
I'm simply curious on something, me and three friends want to play this.. however we have a major concern. Are we not going to find any groups at all going forward? We want to do the proper procedure.. so is Valkurm populated.. do people go to the place beneath Jeuno, we don't want to level a bunch and waste our time if it is just all high level players doing their own things and people desyncing down all the time isn't really that fun to us either. We just want to be able to do low level grouping as we please generally any day of the week roughly around prime time.

Tons of people still leveling lower level jobs, though most of them use PL.

In response to that, and I thank you for the concern. How long do they power level for? Do they go to twenty.. thirty? Do they just keep going forever? The idea of being power leveled through all of the content isn't thrilling, especially since we are all kind of doing different roles than we usually do? We could maybe tolerate up to like.. twenty, but beyond that..? Not so much, just doesn't seem very fun if we're just blitzed through levels and content.

Most people have 2 characters and thats why there are so many PL. They PL themselves. But when i started with my friends we all started from scratch and leveled 2 jobs at once. So we had a full pt of 6 but just the three of us and let me tell you. It makes this game way more interesting and opens up a lot more doors to "solo" things with 2 characters. I highly recommend you guys do that and just lvl together to 75 it will be a new ffxi experience and makes the game more fast paced. Just whoever is going to pull should probably not be main tanking or healing. Hard to manage those things at once although it can be done.

You should just make a diverse trio, that way all you need to do is pick up a DD along the way if you want a bigger party.

Something like rdm, pld, war (or any DD really) would be pretty solid. If you each like a job that falls into the tank, support, damage category then you'll be set for the most part.

Sounds like fun, what's your definition of primetime? And timezone.

Lots of options - you'll be fine.

- 10 level sync increases the chances of finding people
- More people are creating alts (like myself) so leveling jobs to 37 and 75 all over again
- There are lots of jobs to level and fill roles. If no tanks, 2x sam/nin or 2x drg/nin works great, etc...
- People are still just discovering FFXI private servers
- People take breaks and come back
- Some people test the ban limits and start over thus helping again with the leveling pool of jobs :) *Looking at you W*
- Join a LS, Discord, etc. and you can find people who want to level jobs in your range

Low man parties work and remember to just have fun. Some XP is better than 0 xp. Now, if each of you had an alt character (dual boxing) then you'd be self-sufficient :)

You will be in a great position if you have 3-4 people already to start a party. There is a high concentration of 75s but there are usually enough within the 10 level sync range to make parties. I wouldn't worry about not being able to find people to party with.

To all of you posing to level two characters at once -- when I made my account I had to read rules and it states:

"Controlling two characters at once through any means at all is prohibited."

Doesn't that mean what everyone here is proposing is against rules for this server, or am I misunderstanding?
