Nasomi Community FFXI Server :: Steam Link Play

I'm currently experimenting with a Note 10+ , Steam Link and Moonlight.
I cannot boot up with Steam or Moonlight, I boot up, login, and chose my character on the PC.
As long as that is up I can cast the desktop to my phone.

So far:
Moonlight lets me pan the camera around and tap on things. I can use the samsung keyboard to enter chat but only spacebar, numbers and enter are recognized.
I havent got the controller to work. (ps4, xbox360 and a Tronsmart)

Steam Link displays the desktop too, as long as you boot up/login at the PC first.
The controller is responsive to the Steam app, but it wont control anything in the Nasomi window.
Turn the controller off, and the screen tap option is not responsive.

Is there any contention about playing remotely on Steam Link? I have a lot of sneaky down time between patients and I want to catch some fish, but im afraid of getting banned if I dont respond quick enough to any gm/admin checking on me. Especially if I cant get to the keyboard quick enough.

Idk never tried, but considering steam, may not want to.the loader runs off the boot.exe in the ashita ffxi-bootmod folder if you feel froggy. A better alternative if you have a dx11 radeon card is the adrenaline 2020 for radeon graphics, it'll do the trick and you can tell it not not send usage statistics. Steam may or maynot know what ur doing through it's api shrugs they don't really let you anon it afaik. :edited typo:

I know some folks use various apps like Remotr to stream the game to their phones/tablets/etc., and I don't think it's against the rules per-se since you're really just using a remote keyboard/mouse/monitor but still using the sanctioned launcher/etc. However, it'll be up to you to make sure you can respond/stop fishing in a reasonable amount of time if it looks like you're botting and he sends you a /tell or asks you to /dance or something. Usually, though, if you don't respond right away then he'll just ask you to stop fishing (usually in /say from what I've seen, since many bots can be configured to stop automatically if they receive a /tell). YMMV, but at the end of the day you just won't be able to use the excuse "I was playing from my phone and just didn't see your message spam or get to the keyboard in time to stop fishing over and over and over and over" if he decides to toss you into Mordion. If you're reasonably attentive, though, you're probably fine.

I doubt if youre sneaking away from work for a few casts at a time and then mostly afking that anyone is going to think you are botting. I'm sure you'll be fine.
