A Combined Guide for Cooking & Fishing Craft
I've decided after playing Final Fantasy 11 for years I'm going to put all my resources for guides here at Nasomi. This guide hopefully answers several posts on how to level cooking/fishing and fishing at the same time low-cost Ingredients. As of now, I have started this journey the key is patience.
This guide includes fishing guides that benefit you as a cooker I picked the locations that are the best benefit for the cooking recipes as well for recipes, Any information on the locations of fishing, ingredients, shops can all be found here. This should be the cheapest cooking and fishing guide ever on Final Fantasy XI nasomi!
1) Cooking is to supplement fishing with cheaper bait and cost.
2) Fishing is to supplement cooking with free farmed ingredients or NPC.
3) Fisherman wants Lu Shang yeah we all can dream ^^.
Area For Fishing
Fishing 0-7 Crayfish 7 Moat Carp 11Preferred Rod/Bait:
Composite Fishing Rod===NPC: Lusiane Map: Southern San d'Oria (F-8) Little-Worm=== Insect Paste AH but can cost abit 3.5k or go for the cheaper option (Keep 8 stacks of Moat Carp, turn in the rest for Lu Shang OR AH your choice. Keep all crayfish.)
Cooking 0-3: Peeled Crayfish 
You can keep Peeled Crayfish for Black Eel fishing for later on or sell them your choice. (Alternative fishing)
Cooking 3-9: Boiled Crayfish
Mhaura (on your way to getting Rank 2 Fishing and Cooking)
Fishing 8-14 (17 Max): Bastore Sardines 10, Yellow Globes 17Preferred Rod/Bait:
(You can never have enough Sardines, sell the Yellow Globes)
Cooking 7-11: Sliced Sardines
Keep fishing bait sliced sardines you will need later on.
Cooking 12-17: Slice of Carp 
Keep fishing bait Slice of Carp you will need later on.
Area For Fishing
Fishing 15-20 Cheval Salmon 21 Shining Trout 37Preferred Rod/Bait:
Keep the trout, Sell the salmon or keep for (Alternative cooking)
Fishing (Interlude on your way to getting Rank 3 Fishing and Cooking)
Fishing Crayfish 7, Moat Carp 11 and Pipira 29Preferred Rod/Bait:
Choices
1. Minnow will only get you Pipira more bites in (Windurst-water lower part)
2. Rogue Ring gets all 3 with a chance of x2 for them and more bites ( Gold Carp )
3. Slice of Carp gets you crayfish and Pipira with more bites (I would use this then rogue ring if you're going for Lu Shang)
After sliced of carp run out pick any 3 I guess. Keep the Crayfish for Crayfish ball later on.
Tested 21/06/20 Since there's no restriction to fishing
Cooking Roast Pipira 17-21
You will probably level here, but you came here to get your ranks and Pipira fish.
Insect Balls 21-29
Start piling up on Insect Balls. You can either max your cooking on them now or make while you fish (this guide hoards bait, make
it as you need it)
Area For Fishing
Fishing 21-27 Moat carp 11 Tricolored Carp 27 Gold Carp 56Preferred Rod/Bait:
Tricolored and Gold Carp are money carp. Sell them to vendors, Moat Carp for the Lu Shang or AH your choice.
Rank 4 Cooking 30-33: Trout Ball
Hope you saved the fish Shining Trout.
Cooking 34-37: Fish Broth (Sardine version) 
X4Area For Fishing from (rank 4 fishing to rank 5 fishing guild test item hand in)
Fishing 28-44 Cobalt Jellyfish 5 Zamflug Bass 43 Ogre Eel 35 Gold Lobster 46 Bastore Bream 86Preferred Rod/Bait:
(After sardines are gone, can use Sinking Minnow)
Alternative fishing...
Fishing 28-44 Dark Bass 33, Black Eel 47Preferred Rod/Bait:
Choice of Little Worm or Worm Lure (I'm cheap
)Moat Carp!!! Plus you getting (Rank 6 Fishing) Windurst (All except Windurst Port)
Fishing 45-56 Moat Carp 11, Gold Carp 56Preferred Rod/Bait:
Save about 4-6 stacks of moat carp for Sushi, trade in the rest for the Lu Shang or AH your choice.
Fishing (Interlude) East Sarutabaruta (Sea)
Fishing 55 BluetailPreferred Rod/Bait:
Save the bluetails, about 8 stacks should do sell the rest.
Cooking 38-44 Fish Broth with Bluetail (Rank 5 Cooking) 
X 2 Cooking 45-52 Crayfish ball (Rank 6 Cooking)
X 3High failures to start, but at least you’ll get a lot of crayfish fishing up from the start.

Fishing (Interlude) River
Fishing Crayfish 7 Moat Carp 11 Tricolored Carp 27 Giant Catfish 31 Black Eel 47 Copper Frog 16***Preferred Rod/Bait:
Need around 15 stacks of copper frogs, levelling Cooking is now very slow. High failures
Cooking 55-64 Blackened Frog (Rank 7 Cooking)Updating and testing............
